Ahahahha, I snapped again today @ the grocery store.
« on: December 28, 2008, 08:32:21 AM »

I got in the express lane because only 3-4 lanes total (out of ~15-20) were open, and they all had 4-5 cart deep lines, and I only had 7 items.

Well, when I actually looked up, I realized the pile of *feces* on the belt wasn't 2-3 peoples worth, it was 1 persons.  About a 70 year old lady. 40+ items.  When there's finally room on the belt to put a divider in place, I say rather loudly, "Glad this express line is *goshdarn* moving quick today" , while slamming down my basket on the very tail end of the belt. She looked up, and said something like "Why is he so angry to the cashier" And I interjected "because you think you're special you dumb selfish old b!tch"  She said "Why are you being so disrespectful to me, I should call the manager over."  I said, you do that, call a manager over and explain how you violating the store policy (pointing to signs) on the express lane, disrespecting everyone else in the store who follows the policies, etc  is less disrespectful and inappropriate than what I said to you."  She then used over 20 coupons to boot.

Why didn't you rip the cane out of her arthritic, crippled old hands and beat her to death?

Dude - you seriously fired off obsenities at her?   LOL!  Smiley

Remember, the 'older' folk do not subscribe to Carlin's view that there are no bad words - they still take severe offense to the use of words such as that.

But hey - calling her out is just fine.  Just thinking I would have used different words.

I flipped out at a lady a few weeks ago that kept ramming her shopping cart into me in line. Not elderly, but she might have had a cane.  I bet cashiers see some interesting altercations.

Oh yeah, and on Christmas Eve, I almost lost it again.  The store was packed, but there was someone camped out in the middle of an aisle blabbing on her cell phone.  She didn't pull to the side so no one could get around her and the flow got seriously *fudge*ed up.

Then in line, this dude started arguing about swapping items because the things he wanted were sold out.

Aske, I'll have to warn you if I'm ever in Pittsburgh again so we don't risk shopping in the same supermarket at the same time.
