I concur with colleague hobbit.  You're going to a far, far better place.

You should keep an open mind about your affiliations.  It took me a couple of years, but I became an Atlanta sports homey, swearing that I never would.  But 14 strait division titles can speed things along vis a vis sentiments and nostalgia etc and so forth.

Chicago sounds about right.  If there's anyone who DOES want to see how sausage is made, it's probably Aske.

Good luck on the move.  Hope it all works out for the best.

I have some questions for you.  How long did you live in Pittsburgh?  How long have you pulled for Pittsburgh teams?  Where did you live before? Did you support other teams before you moved to Pittsburgh?

I've lived here since May 2001.  I had most recently lived in San Antonio TX prior to that.    Pittsburgh and its teams grew on me, although I had always enjoyed watching the way they play football.

Ah, so even though you say you'll resist, the local teams might start to have an impact.  Sooner or later you'll walk past Wrigley Field while a game's going on and think to yourself maybe I should take a peek  . . .

Wrigley is incredible. I've seen a few games there but the best was the first year of interleague play I was in Chicago visiting friends and we went to the Twins-Cubs game.

Awesome.
