My father beat me all the time until a few years ago.  He beats me only a couple of times now. Most of the time, I beat him now.

He is always begging for strokes, but I'm not that stupid.  I'll never give him strokes ever. It is payback time for the rest of his life.  LOL!!

Next time he's winning, try pistol whipping him. I hear it might take a couple of tries, but he'll go down eventually.

I am the best -- and only -- golfer in my family.

I have a cousin who's a golf pro in Florida somewhere.  Taught Dan Marino for awhile, maybe still does.  Oddest thing is that he (the cousin) didn't even make the varsity golf team in high school.

Do you two ever get together?  Has he helped you at all?

I have an ongoing competition with my brother who is seven years younger than me.  He lives in another city so we only play four to six rounds a year, often around Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We compete in match play with no mulligans or gimmes, but also look at our stroke totals for the fun of it.

Overall, my brother is a slightly better golfer than I am and he wins about 55-60% of our matches.  His driving distance and fairways hit are better than mine.  He also makes some nice shots with his long irons.  But I have an edge with my short game and putting - my brother is an erratic putter and he never practices to improve his skills.

This Christmas vacation we played three rounds - He won one, I won one, and we tied on the third (we would have gone to playoff holes, but it got too dark).  I always enjoy playing with my brother.  No one else in our family plays golf.
