Some of y'all live in some pretty cold climates. Have any of you done the whole polar bear/ice swimming thing that I always see on tv?

Yes. A long time ago. Very unclear right now as to exactly why we thought it was a good idea. I do know adult beverages were involved. Shockingly cold. I'm pretty sure it won't happen again.  |

I complain when the hotel pool water is too cold.

No, but up in mammoth we went outdoor hottubbing and it was about -11F outside w/ windchill.

my oldest son and I jumped in our pool shortly after we moved into our new house. It was 35 degrees outside. I swam the length of the pool and my son jumped in by side wall and pulled himself right out.
