Plans, for me, include: 1. New driver. The one I liked the best, I gave away to a friend, and the replacements haven't made me happy. 2. Maybe a long putter, since my putting SUCKS. 3. If the driver works out, I might not need the 5-iron to hit out from underneath trees  . That would make way for a 5-hybrid. I love my 3 and 4 hybrids. 4. Some lessons to make better use of the stuff I've got. The main thing will be finding enough time to practice and play. I had a client continually bug me about trying a belly putter. His is completely ill fitting but he seems to like it and I'm not one to mess with success. In any case I slammed together a belly putter with spare parts in about 8 minutes then had one of my best putting rounds ever on very fast greens. Been a convert every since....if belly doesn't work then the broomstick should for sure. Only negative is if you carry, they make the bag pretty heavy. |

The 420 is alittle clankier than the 380 but is definitely easier to hit directionally and for height. I still have a 380 on a Speeder 652 and it's sweet. |

Yeah, I gotta diet too because mine is too long right now  If you can use an adjustable weight head, that will help you tune in the feel. I've grown to dislike really heavy heads...380g in the Duet belly plus weight halfway down the shaft seems to give the feel I like. |

I've always liked heavier heads, but I've got a lot o time to experiment. What is a good adjustable head to start with?
I used to use Kirk Curries alot. Right now I have a Mentor Duet though the weight adjustability is pretty coarse...perhaps not all bad as you can confuse yourself with too many options. The BG's have a backweight that can be released with an allen key and the hollow copper weight filled with tungsten or whatever. |
