Crap - stroh becomes cultured and I miss it!

I forgot all about the game  Shocked

gammapi and I played our match yesterday (two-man best ball match play), beating the team that beat the notorious sandbaggers the previous round.  We're now in the finals!

And the Cardinals game was exciting and I never checked out what else was on.

Synopsis:

  • Both teams flat at start of both halves.
  • Everton looked the stronger team from 10 to about 25 minutes and then tanked.  Heat and altitude I suspect.
  • All-stars better team the rest of the way.  Done in by missed chances and Howard.
  • Even Saha can't *8==>* things up when he's teed up like that. [grumble]
  • Tim Howard was Superman last night.  Or at least the blue Power Ranger.
  • Penalties are a horrible way to end a match.  Deflating.
  • Free kick lessons anyone?  Try five feet under the bar next time.
  • Landon Donovan is much more impressive in person than on TV.  That ball simply sticks to his boot.  Shame about the post.
  • Fellini is freakin' massive!!
  • Rio Tinto Stadium kicks ass.  Wonderful place to watch a match.  I'd given up on RSL due to Rice-Eccles but I'll hit a few matches this year now that I've had a taste.
  • Saw a dude with a Torres jersey and his little boy in a Rooney jersey.  Weird that.

Welcome to the Light Side stroh.  We'll work on the little details like free kick v. penalty kick another day.   Tongue
