Century Club / Power Hour
« on: December 27, 2006, 01:03:07 PM »

So I was at Beverages & More this morning picking up some wine. (I'm off work this week, but the wife isn't so I thought I'd surprise her by roasting a duck tonight).

I stopped in the beer section to look for Moose Drool, but they were sold out and I picked up some Scape Goat Pale Ale instead.

Anyway, I spotted some Labatt's Blue on the shelf and it brought back all kinds of memories from college.  I started laughing at some of the memories of the drinking games with that stuff, especially Century Clubs and Power Hours.

Did any of you guys do Century Clubs or Power Hours in your youth?

I don't know what Century Clubs or Power Hours are, which isn't necessarily to say I never did them. Labatt's Blue is one of the all time worst beers ever. I drank a lot of it in college.

Century club is 1 shot of beer every minute to 100.  Power hour is 60.

It sounds easy, but the constant, even drinking really *fudge*s you up.

Far too organized for my drinking enjoyment.
