I haven't eaten there since...

So I spotted a Long John Silver's the other day and stopped at the drive-thru. I didn't even realize that they had them around here, so I had to stop by. I haven't eaten at a Long John Silver's since they closed down the place on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh in the 80s.
I got some sort of combo platter and it sucked. And it was kind of pricey! Worth it though!
Also, I haven't eaten at Pizza Hut in maybe 5 years, but I was at a hackathon this weekend and they brought in a bunch of Pizza Hut pizzas for lunch on Sunday.
The only other place that comes to mind that I'm tempted to try again is Red Lobster. I think it's been 25 years since I've eaten at one. (although if I spot a Cracker Barrel anytime soon I'm all over it)

This is almost embarrassing to admit but in the 3-4 years since Baja Fresh closed around here I've thought about their food at least twice a week.  Easily the best fast food evar. |

LOL I haven't eaten at LJS since I was a kid. (and there are several around here.) I guess the main reason is they are kind of spendy for what you get, and I really prefer a baked or steamed fish with no breading. But memory serves it's good eats. I've really lost my taste for Pizza Hut over the years. I miss Priazzo, and see my rant on the non-existant Pizza-normous or whatever the *fudge* they called it. Cracker Barrel? They closed those sumbitches down here a while ago. |

There is a Red Lobster here pretty close. That joint is a gold mine. The place is packed 24/7/365. Seriously. I wish I had the cash take for one weekend at that place.
As for the food......meh. I always thought portions were pretty small too. But the cheddar biscuits are teh shizzle!
I guess I missed the point of the topic. For me? Old Country Buffet. Been years. It's good though.

The only Long John Silver's I've been to was in Fairfield, CA, which I used to patronize when playing golf up there. The last time I was up there, the place was shut down though. There was a Captain D's in my childhood hometown. I used to go there every now and then. From what I can remember, the Captain kicked Long John Sliver's ass.

Big Boy. Could not even tell you how long its been, but my Dad loved the damned place and we ate there a lot when I was young. Been at least 25 years, prolly longer.
Its also been quite a while for Wendy's as 99% of them in this area closed up several years back. Probably my favorite mass 'burger joint'. Guy that owns the area franchise rights went bankrupt but held onto the rights for some asinine, spiteful, fooked up reason. At least that is what I've heard.

They closed the only Long John Silver's around this area about 10 years ago. It had to go. We didn't have Pizza Hut for about 5 years. Just up and ordered it one night on a lark and it was not the pizza we remembered. Wendys, my daughters go to fast food.  Old Country Buffet, ate there last week and if the crowd was any indication they are hanging by a thread. Red Lobster, my son works there and i get 25% off.  In other news  2 Sonic's will be open with in 5 miles of my house by next month.  |

We actually had a new Wendy's open up in O'Fallon about 6 months ago. |

I find myself with the occasional craving for El Pollo Loco. I've never eaten at Long John Silver's. Red Lobster is teh sukk.
