Bastage makes a 21 foot par save on 18 to maintain his lead and win the Barclays. We could have witnessed a 5-way playoff with Woods, Harrington, Els, and Stricker.  Angry

Wordski. 

The only reason I sat to watch the end.  Bogey was guaranteed for both of them, and I was set for the playoff.

The Marino meltdowns were good though.

I liked the course.

Did anyone else find it interesting that the best that Lift Clean and Replace could produce was 9 under?

A couple of my favorite quotes from golfers this week:

"It's the best course I'll play all week."


I found it to be a really odd-looking course with a great view of Lady Liberty and Manhattan. There just didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the trees, both placement and varieties, or the bunker styles.

Agreed on the course being contrived with little identity.  But the playoff was being aniticipated at my house.  Can't believe he drained that putt.
