i can hit drop shots that actually come BACK over the net at the right conditions... Broken net strap? if it were broken, it would be harder to do, right? because the strap holds the center of the tape down a few inches...

Sorry, I'm just remembering the courts I used to paly on, where the net cord couldn't be tensioned and we have to prop something under the net where the strap should have been. (It was usually broken if not gone.)

Played for years, high school and junior college. Started out with a old Spalding Wood racket and moved up to a Wilson T2000 like Connors used. In College used a Wilson Sting and then went to the Wilson ProStaff. I picked up a Wilson Triad a couple of years ago. My girls love to play around on the court hitting balls but I haven't played seriously in several years.

I used to play.
Head Genesis 660 with whatever $25 strings that didn't break in 3 days. Used to string it real tight too. Think I used Prince Synthetic quite a bit then moved onto a teflon coated one that broke less.
Backup was a Dunlop Max 300i.
