At the moment 89.9% of Golfhoers think you should move. Grin

Interesting.  Who voted no?

I spend 3 or 4 weeks in Palm Springs every late Feb and March.  Temps are in 80's in mid March.  I have been there in October and it was in the 90's.  Very LOOOOONG summer of 100 to 120 degree heat.  There is no shade in Coachella Valley.  Just sayin.

He can always hope the impending global climate change catastrophe disrupts the cold, upwelling pacific currents off the southwestern north american coasts that give rise to the inland high pressure air masses that are responsible for the vast areas of desertification in that region.  And that Hobama doesn't screw this up with legislation that measurably reverses existing greenhouse gas emission trends.

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

damn I gotta check in more often.

What geo said...brutal summers man, can't believe you might go from 'Snowta to the Springs, it'll take 2 summers for your bodies to adjust.

That being said, if somebody would have offered me a like scenario I'd have probably jumped, especially the Coachella Valley, I always dreamed of retiring there.

If you come to the left coast maybe a Bandon adventure is possible. After a couple of summers in Palm Springs December in Oregon is gonna sound pretty damn good.

It takes two yesses and one no brother, if Karens Ok with it and they offer GO!

FWIW, I was moved around a lot as a youth - I was born while my dad was in med school and moved with them as his career took him places.  Residency in UT, 6 mos. for specialized training in Houston, 6 mos. in Mpls for more training, Boston for 4 years, then MN (Fuzzy's home town).  Moving around taught me a lot, especially how to make friends and relate to people with different backgrounds than I.

My wife was pretty sad when we left friends and moved to Charlotte.  The experience in Charlotte, though, opened up doors that brought us to Atlanta.  We will likely die here (though hopefully not soon).

We would not have discovered our current life had we note taken the chance and moved to Charlotte.

Good luck!!!

Side note:  was just up at a conference in D.C. this week and found out the conference will be in Mpls/St. Paul next year.  Great timing, *bunghole*!
