Ahem  we beat England in the 1950 World Cup, the brits are still pissed!  They got into a good group, and this could be (could be) a good game. And if we can't beat Slovenia or Algeria or both it could set the program back 10 years. Prediction: Close game with England 0 points (might be a draw  ) Beat both Slov (2-0) and Alg (2-1) advance with 6 points but England wins the group. Then we get Germany - "Say goodnight Gracie". Sidebar:I'm sorry but Charlize Theron just may be the most gorgeous woman in the world, I'm biased, she's my  free pass ... cleared it with the wife!

Seamus - you're right. I forgot about 1950 when I posted.
Sidebar - My wife and I have joked around about who our "free pass" would be. But I'm guessing that if, by some unimaginable reason, it happened my wife would look EXACTLY like the photo Aske posted above.

It's only ancillarily the celebrity aspect of it. It's really the "you don't have a realistic shot in hell" aspect of it. I would think that even a lowly cashier with an adequate level of hotness would still qualify in this regard. |
