That's unfortunate.  It didn't seem like that story was going to end well.

I actually watched Growing Pains as a kid.  His character was funny.  Never knew his dad played Chekov until he disappeared.

I actually watched Growing Pains as a kid.  His character was funny.  Never knew his dad played Chekov until he disappeared.

I read that he had gone of his meds,  sold or given away most of his possessions, given his landlord notice, and written a letter to his father that raised the alarm.

Very, very sad. A father just shouldn't have to outlive his children.

Not to make light of suicide, since I've been touched by a lifetime of that in this past year alone, but Kirk Cameron seems to have also taken a step away from reality.

Its worth considering a problem with drinking water on the Growing Pains set, or perhaps their catering service?  The make up?
