It's worth noting that the last time Holmgren traded for a backup he had previously coached, it was Hasselback.

That's an interesting parallel, to say the least.

Local sports shock jocks say that this is pretty much a done deal.

They're backing up now, but the thinking seems to be that there is NO reason to trade Wallace for essentially nothing if you're NOT drafting a QB with either the 6th or 14th pick.

Hasselback is 35 or 36, the kid from Rutgers is probably a career backup.

I'm also JUST cynical enough to believe they'll go "Big Name" to try to drive interest in what will be a 2 or 3 year building process.
