Wis. college says new e-mail font will save money

Quote
GREEN BAY, Wis. – A Wisconsin college has found a new way to cut costs with e-mail — by changing the font.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has switched the default font on its e-mail system from Arial to Century Gothic. It says that while the change sounds minor, it will save money on ink when students print e-mails in the new font.

LOL! That's cutting edge.  Maybe they should reuse the twisty ties that come on their loaves of bread.  Lots of uses for those.

As an 80 a day emailer, I'm alarmed at the level of hate directed towards such an innocent font in Arial.

It's the most practicle font for document writing as it has a nice apperance on screen, particularly in 10 point.

Personally I find Courier, Times New Roman and to a lesser extent Calibri to be more objectionable as default fonts.

Apparently I'm as good with fonts as I am with musical notes.
