I JUST walkedin from listening to Sean Insanity on the radio machine.

This whole thing is the POTUS fault for not reacting to the disaster quickly enough, and not being able to control the ocean tides like he said he could during his inaugural address.

And no, I am not making that up.

Somebody correct me on an important detail before it disappears down the memory hole:

Didn't BP say the spill was contained and/or capped for several days after the initial explosion?

That was my understanding. If memory serves it was a storm that broke things loose.

it really pissed me off.  I literally wanted to just reach through the radio and punch him in the fat lying smug mouth.  but then I realized as terrible as he is, he's not THE problem.  THE problem is the ~50M or so 'merkans out there who (on both sides, but certainly seems to be a bit more dominated one way) that will literally believe ANYTHING they are told, who refuse to listen to rational logic, etc...   just because someone evokes an emotion in them and plays to their victim/fear/etc/whatever.

meh
hannity evoked from you exactly what he set out to achieve....the business model of the am radio satirist swine is to slop around in the muck so that anybody who happens to wander by, irrespective of what side of the fence they are on, is completely disgusted

So is the best case scenario, assuming* this thing gets capped, to actually hope for a couple of  cat 4/5 storms to help disperse this stuff  inland?   Seriously, this is really lose/lose if the worst case scenarios of months of kilobarrel seepage are true.

Chris Wallace is now repeating it as a question on his show:

'Secretary Napolitano, some people are saying (by which he means some people at Fox News, We Report, You Decide) that this is President Obama's Katrina. How do you respond to that?'

Well, she didn't bitch slap him, but she did look at him as if he'd crawled out from under a *goshdarn* rock.

Then she said (in so many words):

'What the *fudge* are you talking about?'
