He says both women are suspected of participating in "high-end" acts of prostitution in Gwinnett County and other states in which dates can cost $10,000.
"High-end"?  So Georgia still has that sodomy law.

Here's more detail on the case:

what a hoot!!

A former Penthouse Pet has been arrested along with a business partner known as "Naughty Nikki," accused of running a high-priced house of prostitution in the exclusive, gated Sugarloaf Country Club community subdivision.

Gwinnett County police on Wednesday arrested Lisa Ann Taylor, 42, at her million-dollar home. She and another woman were charged with prostitution, racketeering and drug offenses. The two allegedly were charging clients up to $10,000 to have **** with them in the country club home and giving drugs to their clients, said Gwinnett District Attorney Danny Porter.

"Nothing surprises me," said Cathy Butler, wife of former University of Georgia and NFL star Kevin Butler and owner of a women's clothing boutique in Lilburn. "Anything can happen absolutely anywhere."

"Obviously, the price of houses is not a barrier," said Richard Hassberger, who lives a few doors down from Taylor's home.

Taylor's Halloween parties, complete with fireworks, gained notice around the neighborhood.

"She would have fairly large parties," Hassberger said. "Other than that, it's been fairly quiet."

However, Taylor didn't necessarily stand out with the gatherings.

"We've got athletes and rock singers, and on the occasion they throw big parties, they tend to be loud," Hassberger said.

A spokeswoman for the Sugarloaf Homeowners Association had no information about what was going on at the house.

"This is a police matter, an ongoing investigation," said Paige Perkins of the Sugarloaf Homeowners Association. Perkins also said that the association would cooperate with investigators in any way.

Clients fear exposure

Prostitution thrives on discretion, but the path leading to their doors was surprisingly easy to trace, Porter said. The two women advertised online, using Web sites for people looking for prostitutes, he said. Taylor's Web site indicated that she was accepting appointments this month in Atlanta, New York, Boston and Chicago.

Porter examined postings on a Web site which allows clients to post satisfaction ratings for women they've purportedly paid for ****. Taylor owns a real estate business, and the phone number listed on her company Web site matched the one she used in escort service postings, Porter said.

Taylor also apparently was a financial officer for Stripper Entertainment in Duluth. And, though the search warrants remain sealed, Porter said police seized detailed financial records of the **** operation from the Duluth mansion, including a ledger showing payments made and money owed.

Calls to both Taylor and Probert's homes and cellphones seeking comment went unanswered. No one answered the door at either residence.

A Web site that Taylor operated under her alias Melissa Wolf said she was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, and got started in the adult entertainment business at 18 years old. She said she started out entering wet T-shirt contests to try and make extra money. The bio says she eventually was able to build the house of her dreams.

'Average-looking guys'

The message boards of Web sites the pair used are abuzz with news of the arrest. Dozens of people are nervously asking each other about the case, and how safe their online aliases might be. Others wrote to remind people that the boards themselves helped investigators.

"We started pretty basic. We Googled Melissa Wolf," Porter said. "It's amazing what you can find online."

Then police simply started watching their houses, he said.

The house and well-kept yard do not stand out in the neighborhood of mansions.

The duo's alleged clients needed to pass a gantlet of security, first online, then at the guarded gates of the exclusive golf club community. Clients needed references from either another "service provider" or another john, Porter said. Still, the pair saw two or three clients a day on some days at Taylor's mansion just behind the 8th green, he said.

The pair would occasionally procure drugs for some of their clients or friends, Porter said. pröñography also may have been produced in the house, he said. He was reviewing obscenity laws to see if additional charges might apply, he said.

Porter charged them with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act for engaging in a pattern of illegal activity. Porter filed a lien against Taylor's house with the intent of seizing it as proceeds coming from criminal activity, he said.

Taylor has owned the home — assessed at $1,091,700 — since 1999.

Taylor filed for divorce in July from her husband of two years, alleging in court filings that he had abused her. In the filing, she listed her approximate gross annual income as about $140,000.

While Taylor said she was one of the most published Penthouse Pets or centerfolds, an official at Penthouse magazine disputed that claim.

Taylor was a "Pet of the Month" or centerfold in the June 1985 issue of Penthouse, said Kathleen Berzon, public relations manager for Penthouse in New York. But Taylor hasn't had that distinction since in the past 20 years, said Berzon.

At Probert's house in Lawrenceville, neighbors described heavy traffic in the John Wieland neighborhood of Edgewood off Collins Hill Road. Men came and went at odd hours throughout the day, they said.

"Average-looking guys with average-looking cars, the men did not look questionable," said Suzy Price, who described Probert. "She took good care of the property — you never had to go over and say anything to her — but she just brought a lot of traffic to the neighborhood of a dubious nature. ... You knew something was going on."
