all the reviews say this basically ignore P2, and the AVP franchise, and are a worthy sequel to P1

I'm psyched.

it was a lot better than I expected.  pays a lot of tribute to the original.  not overly cheesy.  good solid action and violence. nice little cameo/allusion to another film....
