Golf Channel's Jim Gray confronted Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin in an ugly incident following Pavin's press conference with European captain Colin Montgomerie.

Pavin claimed Gray misinterpreted his remarks that Tiger Woods was an automatic pick. As the room emptied out, an incensed Gray came up to Pavin, pointed a finger at his chest and said, in a loud voice, "You're a liar and you're going down."

As Gray turned away, Pavin said, "You're just going to say that and you're going to walk away now?"

Gray turned back and the two had a heated discussion.
