I rarely deploy emoticons in posting, reserving them only for exceptional situations.

But I only chat in hieroglyphics.  Go figure.  That's just the way God made me, I guess.

Either is fine with me.  The avatars, never really look like me.(well, actually spaceage's beer drinkin' buddy is the closest I've seen)

And as far as emoticons, people can always tell when I'm spitting at the screen.
