There's quite a kerfuffle going up here with the jackasses in the Mariners front office, the details of which don't really need to be rehashed.

Long story short, the illustrious CEO went into default mode after a series of moronic decisions by the front office and blamed it all on the Mediaaaargghhhh:

Feherty getting pwned by the crowd at Whistling Straits:

Of course the media at large runs with Feherty's version, and Johnson grabs the lifeline thrown at him after making a very simple mistake that anybody who actually plays has been guilty of.
