Lousy Smarch weather
« on: January 06, 2007, 08:33:37 PM »

We got 11 inches of snow on Thursday, a trace yesterday, and about .5 inches today. Just heard we have more on the way.

To make it worse, I was supposed to go snowboarding tomorrow with my brother, but he spent all his money on new tools for work. At least I have brand new golf clubs.  Sad

It was 70* here (North Carolina) yesterday.  Doesn't feel like winter at all.

It was over 70* in NJ, and the cherry blossoms were out. The End is near imo.

Shocked  Curious, how much does it cost?

Been warm here too.  Not warm enough, mind you.  But way above normal.

If it weren't for the rain and soaked ground, I'd try to get out this week.  It is to be in the 50s for most of the week.

65º here yesterday, and got 18 in.  Pretty sloppy, but golf in Central Pa in January is unheard of.

Snowboarding? It depends on where you go. You can pay anywhere from $35-$55 for a day pass. Also gas to get to the resort, lunch, etc. It's unusual for us to get out of a day for under $60.

Yeah I've got my own board, boots, etc. If you have to rent equipment you can add another $20-$30 to the tab.

$62 peak season at the local ice mountain.  unbelievable.  Mammoth is $72 but it's a 6 hr drive.

As for the weather, it's been cold, dry and windy.  30-60mph gusts.
