It was empty at my polling station this morning. Giants fans were probably out late celebrating.

Polls close here at 8 local. At 8:05 Rossi will sue for a recount, and that seat will be held up for the next 2 years.

The mouthbreathers went to the polls in droves and continue to buy the Republican lie that budgets can be balanced by cutting taxes. OTOH, the upper house is still a stable bastion of democracy and will quell a great deal of the craziness. |

The plurality of voters who have taken over the country don't believe in evolution. In fact, they will attempt to pass legislation that not only bans the teaching of evolution, but will in fact OUTLAW evolution and impose criminal penalties upon any species that has a demonstrated pattern of evolutionary origins, or is suspected to be undergoing evolution, or fails to repudiate its evolutionary history by sacred oath. Of course, this absurd legislation will never pass or become enacted into law. But that doesn't matter at all and it won't stop them from trying. Which is PRECISELY what this all means. |
