We had a lunch meeting today, and The Naval Commander mentions that employees may have to start paying for insurance for themselves (right now it's free for employees, you contribute for dependents), but it won't be much, nothing is certain, and it's ALL because of Obamacare.

I said that I would like to see hard numbers as soon as possible, because I now EASILY qualify for VA primary care based on income, but the copays are really high. (You used to have to be at or below the FEDERAL poverty line AND have no other insurance available until you were 55. Now it's all adjusted for location and 150 pct of the local poverty line. Basically, if you will qualify for an exchange in the future you're in and RIGHT NOW)

NC says we should know something in a couple of weeks, and our Teahadist butts in the conversation with:

 'See, ObamaCare is putting more deadbeats on the taxpayers backs'

Seriously, he says deadbeat! You could have heard a pin drop in that *goshdarn* place. The Naval Commander's eye get this big looking at me, and I'm sure MY face was a joy to behold.

I could not think  of a *goshdarn* thing to say, so I did the only thing that seemed appropriate, other than punching that little *fudge* square in the *goshdarn* face:

I walked right the *fudge* out the door. I can deadbeat at home WAY better than I can do it at my, you know, *goshdarn* JOB!

The last thing I heard as I was leaving was somebody saying 'If my arms were any longer,  I'd slap you in the mouth'.


So I guess the real fun started after I left, when one of the salesguys who goes 6'8 or so and was a Marine threatened to break him in half if he ever opened his mouth on the subject again, or any other subject that wasn't directly related to work.

So I'm driving home and I get 3 or 4 calls from office lines, which I ignore and then one from The Naval Commanders personal phone, which I answer.

'Hello'

'Are you coming back, or should I just go ahead and have your check ready to pick up on Monday?

I TOTALLY misread this, and just tee the *fudge* OFF: 'WTF are you talking about, that *bunghole* calls me a 'Deadbeat' and you tell me I'm fired if I don't come back to work right now?Huh? I assure you, if I come back to work, all that will happen is I will kick his little punk ass all over the parking lot, and you may be next!'

'Ummmm, that's not really what I mean. I'm asking if your quitting right now, because I would not blame you one bit if you did. What I really think we should do is drop this and you come in the office Monday, but feel free to call me any time over the weekend. '

And that's where we're at.

DUDE!!!  Seriously!!!  Chill a bit.  Obviously Teatard is incapable of independant, coherant, logical thought processes.  Cinderella needs to burn a stick or two, down some serious McMenaminns, and ignore Teatard like it didn't exist.  JMO and worth what it costs.

I agree with PaunchBald about taking it easy.  It sounds like everyone's pretty cool at your workplace except for that asshat.  And every company has a few of those.
