Tire siping

Yea or nay?

This is Norcal, mind you, where it's wet as a sumbitch for about  3 months and then dry as bone for the other 9.

Does this make any sense to you:

Let a guy that was working at McDonalds last week alter something that an engineer spent at least a week designing?

No? Me neither.

Nobody ever tried to sell me a siper based on how well it worked, it was ALWAYS how good a profit center it was.

Here's a thought: Spend the 10 or 15 bucks on a BETTER TIRE!

heh, I read it as '50 crates' on mobile sans spectacles!

Pretty emphatic 'No'

If you lived up here where it's wet 9 months with a few days of snow, I might get all the way to 'Maybe' but that's about it.

I've never driven siped v non-siped, but my suspicion is that it destabilizes the treadblocks and makes the car more squirrely in the dry and at the limit.

lol, I saw this on a 23" monitor and can't read this thread right.

At first I thought it was "Tire Spring", some sort of protest like Arab Spring or Wall Street Fall.

Then I thought it said "Tired sniping" either the Ebay or hunting variety.
