Because of problems with trannies on 2nd generation Acura TLs, Honda was forced to extend the warranty to 109K.

Mine just started slipping. Mileage: 118K

$2800 to rebuild.

That seems very un-Honda like, doesn't it? Honestly, I don't know that I'd spend 2800 bucks on a tranny under any circumstances.
