Steelers Coach? Not Whisenhunt.

Was pulling for the Bears to lose today.  Nothing personal against them, but I have a hunch that the Steelers want Ron Rivera to be their coach, and as long as the Bears are alive, they can't get him.  I also have a hunch, well more like a certainty, that Rivera is who I'd like to see the Steelers hire.

Local station says Ken Whisenhunt will be announced as coach of the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday.  I suspect that the Steelers sudden interest in interviewing retreads (Chan Gailey, Mike Sherman, maybe others), is an attempt to waste time in hopes of waiting out the Bears season.

I thought about that as well.  LeBeau is good, but he's also really getting along in years.  I can't imagine he'll be around that much longer anyway.

I'm just not sold on Russ Grimm.  His O-line underperformed badly this year, and were largely responsible for several of the losses.  He has three first round picks and a second round pick on that line. I don't think he got all that he should have out of those guys.  I'm also not a fan of the big, burly, scream and yell, hot temper style of coaching.  My boss is like that and all it does is piss me off.  It's certainly not motivational, and it certainly doesn't earn respect, IMHO.

Mike Tomlin has interviewed twice.  I guess running a good "Tampa 2" Defense, and being 3rd all time in run defense, will get you noticed.

He's gone.  Either Steelers, or Miami.
