Discuss.

Here the fall is here, and I can't see more than one or one and a half month of golf for us. (That said, of course, we are known to be playing in January, but that's another matter all together).

Pretty much the same here.  I played last Sunday, 'cause it's very possible it could be my last round. I'd like to play a lot more, 'course now I have all my stuff done, and I'm free.

The weather/temp.s won't influence my decision as much as the snow(too obvious I guess Roll Eyes.  If it's open, I'll still play.

For me, wind is a factor too. I hate hitting a perfect decent shot only to be bananaed away by strong wind! Undecided

but when the wind is behind you, you might get a drive out to 200

Wishful thinking, and it will probably be the one hole that I'll shank my driver!

Our season lasts year-round.  But I've become soft since moving to California and don't play very often when it rains.  It's supposed to be a wet winter this year, so that's going to suck.

It really depends on the weather here. In a mild winter many courses stay open year round. We have one (Wingpointe) that is at low enough elevation that they manage to stay open about 11 months out of the year, no matter how rough the winter is.

Depending on the head pro, courses will open and close throughout the winter as weather permits. Last season I managed to play deep into November before the first real snowfall, and then was back out by mid-January. We've had a pretty fair amount of rainfall through September and October, so we might be due for a nasty winter.

No snow here, so the courses are open all year.  (But I'm a wimp, and I stick to indoor mini-golf if it's rainy/windy  Grin )

golf courses open 365 days a year minus a very few number of days when it's pouring outside.

IMO, season 2 is not nearly as good as season 1, but it was also a lot shorter.
