Has anyone tried this?

Someone did a Google on it the software is about $30 and is supposed to be legal.

I don't see an explanation of how it works on their webpage, which isn't a good sign.

I didn't spend a lot of time on it, but quickly skimming these pages didn't look very promising.

Not me I was skeptical when one of my fellow workers mentioned it. 

If is sounds to good to be true it ususally is.

I've seen firsthand how incredibly aggressive DirecTV is about "protecting" their satellite transmissions.  I wouldn't touch that deal with TFT's computer.
