He falsified data. In our field that is pretty bad.
"Pretty bad"?  What's it take to be "really bad"?  I just like to know where the lines are drawn.

a number of people die...as what happened here in Walkerton when the water treatment guys did that and e.coli got in the drinking water....

Photlithography, not photograph. We put the image on a wafer to make electronic chips. We do have Canons and Nikons though that do that.
