My best games have been when I am totally relaxed and happy.  I know I let some partners on ladies day get to me (Yes some women can be total b*tches out there), this must explain the reason why I must get a beer, and take it with me, after nine holes!! Grin Grin

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

If I am playing well, I almost always know my score.  My PB for 18 is 81 and have done it numerous times, atlhough not recently.  I have tried not to know, but I guess I caddied enough when younger that I can't block out where I stand.

But I will say my PB for 9 holes I had no clue until 8.  I was playing with a female golfer on her second time out and after doubling the first hole, paid more attention to her game than mine.  After birdying the 7th, another member of my foursome told me I was only one over.  Managed to par out, but it was amazing how much harder it got after that.

My scores go to crap when the nitrites from the 10th hole hotdog start frying my brain.
