e1-  isn't that supposed to be the difference though?  aren't WE supposed to be the better man (i.e. country)  aren't we supposed to set the example?

isn't that a general motto... something like "be a better man, don't stoop to their level.."  etc?



that said,  other nations burning our flag tends to be a political protest against some (real or perceived) transgression on our part against them...   isn't in this case...  the transgression on the part of the USA?   we are the ones who let in (legal or illegal) the immigrants he seems opposed to.  (that is to say,  I doubt the gubmint of brazil has an active campaign of sending immigrants here to ruin this man's life as he sees it)
