I posted something, and I received a swift yank on the leash by some guy named after a tree.
I figured that out, but I'm still puzzled. I'm guessing from the thread title that it has or had something to do with porky.  I've decided to make my peace with him. I'm not going to cross the street to avoid him, but I'll not cross the street to get in his way either. In the thread he made a remark about wishing for a carpool with three attractive "leggy" blondes. I really prefer redheads. |

I made a [pretty mild] crack about him a while back and was asked by FGIM(I) to give him a wide berth because he's been known to pitch fits and make things unpleasant in the clubhouse. You can take that for what it's worth. I don't think he's off limits, but I believe the general attitude over there is that those who have been assigned to watch over things are treating him with kid gloves and are directly and indirectly asking and enforcing that others do the same. I think it's kind of lame, but It's not my site so they're not my rules. My personal stance is that going forward, unless his insanity is just way too over the top, or aimed at me personally, I'm not going to go out of my way to point out his craziness, hypocrisy, or general piss pore attitude. My general worry (at least lately) is that golfhos is a friendly atmosphere and the more we drag FGI over here, and vice versa, the more we run the risk of creating the same problems over here that exist over there. I know historically I'm as guilty as anyone, but I'm trying real hard Ringo. |
