I call it the 20 second special
I can't tee it up any better for you fellows.  Roll Eyes

I would but I did spacey with it yesterday.
I would like, at this point, to advise everyone that TFT did not, in fact, "do" me yesterday. No matter how much he begged.
Oh my.... Grin

So FedEx surprised me this morning with my special delivery from Wishon. I glued them up this afternoon and the epoxy is curing as we speak. Initial impressions:

They are pretty. I'm torn between the satin (which got the Wishon High Launch wedge shafts) and the platinum (Rifle Spinner 5.5s). The satins have a clean and classic look to them. Shiny without glare, which is nice. The platinum is a cool looking finish, almost like a brownish coppery patina. How it wears remains to be seen, obviously, but definitely an attractive wedge.

The milling is nowhere near as deep as the SMT Durometers. The faces are "textury" without being rough. I'm guessing these won't chew up balls nearly as much as the Duros (one of the reasons I dumped them). The "micro grooves" look a bit unusual but if they work, I won't complain.

No teardrop shape here, they are big and they are round. I don't imagine it's going to be a problem for me to adjust, but I can imagine some might be turned off by their shape. They also have slightly wider soles than I'm used to. My problems with wedges, more often than not, come from thin shots, not fat, so I don't know if this is going to be a hindrance, a benefit, or neither.

Hopefully I can provide an update in terms of actual performance soon. I'm hoping to find an open driving range where I can take them for a test drive. The only one I know for certain will be open has mats, which I hate, so I won't be going there.

As requested, here are pictures. Sorry the lighting isn't very good but I think you get the idea.

Awesome.  I like the Platinum.  Any trouble seating the ferrule?

Not really, although I think the Spinners are ever so slightly thicker than the Wishon shafts, the ferrules didn't go the Spinners quite as well. I use the epoxy as lube method, and a Golfsmith "Mr. T" ferrule installer, which seems to work quite well.

Great pics!

You're right about how round they look.  I didn't grasp that from the catalog pictures.   i like the clean minimal writing.

nice monte pic!  He's got the cool "dipped in white paint" thing going on with his tail and feet. Smiley
