220-230. If I'm lucky sometimes I can even find them.

Batter up, who wants this one?

I would, but I think I'm too drunk.  Drinking

Probably 230-240 on the average. I do catch one pretty well each time out to about 275-280, or so, but definitely not the norm.

LOL, that funny... and sadly true in my case as well. On a good day.  Sad

I have three types of acceptable drive:

1)  Mild hook.  Might even be called a BIG draw.  It's a weak shot though.  About 220 tops.

2)  Push.  About 250.  Can be more from time to time.

3)  Good shot.  Mostly in the 260-280 range I guess.  Hit one close to 300 on Saturday (scorecard measurement, for what that's worth).  My cousin, using my new TM540, got maybe 350 on the same hole.  It was massive.  I've never seen anyone closer to that green.  I think we just got lucky and a massive mojo vortex was passing by.

Who knows what the average is.  I topped one off the first tee for about 120.   Sad

Caveat: I play at 4300-5500 feet.  People say that's worth 10% so maybe my 270 good drive is 245 at sea level.   Don't Know

Good solid hits get me 245-260 including roll, but I probably only average 230 with off center hits and lousy swings factored in.

I honestly don't know my average.  I'm usually either long or long-and-wrong.  It's not that often that I hit one short.

Ooops.  Sorry.   Red Face

But you've got a wicked short game, yes?

I guess I throw that elevation thing out on these discussions as some just won't accept that a mid- to high-capper can hit the ball over 190 yards.  There's always someone calling you out.  It's a bit interesting.  If someone posts that they average 29 putts nobody says a word.  If someone posts that they get a few 300 yard drives a year they catch a bunch of flak.   Don't Know

Clarification: Not here, elsewhere.   Wink

240 to 250 average. I have been able to get 300 on good hits but I try to just play my average.

I'm happy with anything 250 or more. I don't think I can crack 300 under normal conditions (level ground, no hardpan, no wind, sea level), but I can get close. 290 is about my limit. A typical round will have a couple in the 270-280 range. Fortunately all my courses are in high res territory on google earth, so I think I can measure +/- 5 yards pretty easily.

[smite people who brag]

The first hole at my club is like 470 from the tee's I normally play.  And I'm usually a club or two inside the 200 to the green.

It's not unusual to be holding a six iron after my tee shot, which would put me ~170 to the green.

I don't have time to run the calculations at the moment.

But I do have enought time to say that I'm an EXCELLENT golfer, apparently much better then a lot of people here apparently.
