I've seen it. I met the lady who owns the NorCal territory for the product. The guy who invented the product just sells the machines, but controls who owns what territory. If you own a given territory, you have to act as a sales person and try to place the equipment at golf courses (of course offering it for free). Then you sell ads that rotate in the machine to recoup the cost of the machine. Sounds like a really tough gig for the territory owner. IMHO, it's no different than the vending machine business. Those who make the most money are the manufacturers of the vending machines--not those that operate them.

They have automatic spike cleaners at most of the courses in Tampa and they do not cost anything.
