Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and then the baby looked at me.

Woohoo My first smiting! You can smite a spammer... I know they don't care but there is a measure of satisfaction in doing so.

Might be time to restrict registrations somehow.

Yeah, the spammers seem to come in waves. We had a bunch a few months ago, so I turned on the activation email requirement for new registrations, which seemed to work. They stopped coming after that, so I took it back off. I just put the activation email requirement on again, so we'll see how it works. If that doesn't work, the next step is to enable the CAPTCHA to keep out automated script registrations. I tried it briefly before, but I could never read it correctly and register a test account properly. (which is one way to keep out spammers, I guess...)

And keep out real people, too, for that matter.

I can never manage to get those things right the first time. God bless sites that give you multiple opportunities.
