The courses I play all advertise when they spray or otherwise dispense chemicals. At those times and for a bit afterward, I make sure to wear shoes. Usually, after some steady rains, the chemicals aren't a problem. Besides, those who put a tee in their teeth are taking a much greater chance.

No...sorry...I was, in the great tradition of FGI, Golfhos, and the WWE tag teaming a vastly weaker opponent, with all the crap and chemicals on golf courses you wouldn't catch me sans shoes. Our club is a very small friendly club. It is not a snobby country club. It is very relaxed, and user friendly!!  "the villages"  ...America's windiest hometown.
