Say what?

I stopped coming to FGI over a year ago because it...well...wasn't a fun place to hang out anymore--for a number of reasons I don't need to go into. A couple weeks ago, I checked back in, and the place seemed much more, uhhh, I guess civil is a good way to describe it. I started lurking more, and dagnabbit, there are a lot of improvements at FGI. There is more moderation. Many of the perennial malcontents seem to be gone. It even looks like the software has had an upgrade. Well done gentlemen (and women)! And a tip of the hat to the Marshall dude--whoever you are.

To each his own.

Over the last month, I've heard several reasons behind the scenes from people about what's wrong with FGI.  The reasons were all over the place (some were sponsor-related, some wanted more moderation, others less moderation, some didn't like certain people)  Everyone seems to be looking for different things out of that place, and not everyone can be happy.

Actually, I think the last couple of weeks might have been a little better than before.     Although maybe I'm just not as bothered as I used to be now that I know that I can always come over here if things get out of hand on FGI.
