Some kind of crappy-assed Spaldings my wife bought for my son from some kind of crappy-assed big box when his buddies got him started playing in high school.

Dunlop "whole set in a box" jobs from Wal-Mart.  I forget the model name.  I think it was "Quad" something.

The first set of club I own is a set of Dynacast. Forgot the model name. But its a casted big cavity and 1 inch longer than standard shaft (I thought I need them 1 inch longer)

1, 3, 5 wood + 3-SW irons. With beautiful TT Command shaft.  Got a Brosnan blade putter from my younger brother junks. He used to do a lot of mini golf.

I don't remeber I actually hit the sweet spot, except a couple of pull that goes very very far left.

Wilson ProStaffs.

Still have 'em tucked away somewhere in the cellar. Not very good clubs by any standard but they were my first so I can't get rid of 'em.

Don't know what excuse I have for keeping the next 4 or 5 sets though.. Roll Eyes

Haven't the foggiest.  About the only I remember is scoring about 130 with them.  They clearly sucked.

My first set was full set of Maxlfi Tour Ltd. Irons and metals. My putter was a Hogan putter that I still have. I still have the irons heads and metals too come to think of it.

The first set I bought was some department store set with Jack Nicklaus' name on them.  Golden Bear or something.

Wilson K-28s. When you hit them off center they stung like hell. When you hit the sweet spot, they still stung like hell. At least they were damn near impossible to get airborne. Sweet sticks.
After the Golden Bears, I bought a set of K-28's as well.  I played them for over 20 years.

I still have them in the basement.  A set of MacGreggor Pro 67 by Nicklaus, 1-3-5 persimmon headed wood and 3-P.

Think there were made by Spalding and I picked them up at a Sams Wholesale several years ago.   Driver, 3W, 5W, 3i-SW, putter plus bag.

My first set was a starter set of Wilson Johnny Walker blades (3-5-7-9, 3w, and 1W). I think I paid about $35 dollars for them in the early 70s. A few years later, an older gentleman gave me a whole mish-mash of clubs he had leaning in a corner. I used those to fill out my "set". Other than the original 4 irons, I don't think any of the other clubs matched any other. I remember 2-3 irons being the same length. I had the whippiest 2 iron in the world, but if you hit it sweet, it'd go forever. I'd often tee off with that club.

I played with them until after I got married (1983) and decided I needed some real clubs (Ping copies. Still have them.). Since I just threw out my original golf bag a few months ago, I must've given those old clubs away.
