Best part of Guitar Hero?
« on: February 09, 2008, 11:16:54 AM »

Listening to my daughter and her friend sing along to "School's Out" by Alice Cooper or "Slow Ride" by Foghat or "Sunshine of your Love" by Cream while playing.

I think they kick some serious arse.  Of course if you like Elton John or Celine Dion, they probably won't appeal to you.

I have a rock band/ geetar hiro question.

The only experience I've had is the demo display at BB/Sam's, etc.  Whenever I've played it, I was more focused on trying to remember where the buttons are, and stroking the flapper, and looking at the display.

I sukk miserably.  Here's my question.  I never paid attention to what you are actually supposed to be "playing" for any give song.

i.e. Is it the "lead", or the chorus.  Neither?  Or just what the game has you do, that kinda goes with the flow of the song?

I like metal as much as the next guy (unless the next guy is Aske), but IMHO DragonForce is just plain cheese ball, especially the vox. Dude on guitar can shred, I'll grant you that, but that doesn't make it good. YMMV.
