I'm siding with one of the three above me, but I haven't decided which one yet.

Fear of commitment?  I'll side with Clive.

Suck up. He has no power here, you can feel free to side with any of the above without fear of retribution. (Since he runs the place, I'll go ahead and side with dystopia.)

True

False
Correct!
When I was about 8 or 9 I lived in Buffalo. One of the boys I played street hockey with, his mother was dating Rick Schoenfield. He came out one day and played with us for a while. I always played goalie and he took a shot on me, he scored of course.

I also met Bob Lanier. He came to a practice of our basketball team when I was in 8th grade. His cousin was on our team. He was in town visiting and decided to come by. We all tried on one of his shoes. They were huge!

Never met Joe Ferguson though I did meet one of the receivers at the time. Forget his name though.

I went to the ECAC Holiday tourny at MS Garden (1969? 1970?) when he played for St Bonaventure against Rick Mount's Purdue team. Mount was firing the ball up when he crossed the mid line.  Roll Eyes Big Bob just dominated the game. I think he scored nearly 50 points.

I guess since I guessed right (I knew you were a hockey fan so I took a shot) I have to come up with an entry. I'll come up with something.

OK... one of the following is true, the other two are lies:

1) Hakeem Olajuwon once scored a goal on me.
2) My very first drive traveled over 500 yards.
3) I've been to a World Series game, Final Four game, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup final game, NBA final game.

(Number 2.  Not even if you hit off a cliff, in 40 mph hurricane winds, landed on cart path, kicked off a rock, got picked up by a seagull, and run over by the beer cart girl.   To say, on your very first drive.)

no2.  I'm thinking maybe, your first drive, was like in the movie Tin Cup, and you hit you ball on the road, and it just kept bouncing and bouncing etc etc!!!! Grin

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

#2 is true
I'm going to give you credit for that one. I played my first golf in a goofy scramble tournament at the old Herman Park course in Houston I tee'd it up on #2 (alternating shot format) and it bounced down the middle of Golf Course Drive all the way to MacGregor Drive. How it made it that far thru the cars we never figured out but we found it later next to the curb. I'm estimating 500 yards because it was easily about 3 blocks.  byw... I've never seen Tin Cup. That might have been a good entry for this game.

The other two:
 #1 -false
Try as he might Hakeem never scored on me. I taught a coaching class one summer at UH and Hakeem would jog around the field as part of his training. Every once in a while veer out onto the field and he'd blast a shot at me or whoever was in goal. One time I stopped a shot with my face  Sad and he ragged on me plenty after that.

#3-false World series-1971 and 1983 in Baltimore and 2005 in Houston,  NBA finals 1984 Houston, Final Four 1982 (81?) New Orleans.. Stanley Cup finals 1970 st Louis   But I've never been to a Super Bowl.

wish... you take a shot at playing
