The other day I saw the most expensive bottle of booze that I've seen. It was a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label 200th Anniversary priced at...

$3995



It was sitting in a glass case in an Asian market in Oakland, CA. If a criminal decided to rob the place, he'd be better of taking the bottle than taking all the cash in the registers.

Our local liquor store had a bottle of Blue Label a while back (I don't think it was 200th anniversary though). Seems like the price was somewhere around $2000. I just chuckled.

Maybe it's just me, but I figure a $30 bottle of bourbon is still going to be better than the best Scotch money can buy. Then again, I hate scotch. Even still, I can't possibly imagine what they could do to a bottle of liquor (bourbon, Scotch, whatever) that could possibly justify that kind of price tag, short of having Scarlett Johansson deliver it and rub it all over her... well, anyway it would have to be spectacular.
