I just read that the voice actor who plays Optimus in both the series and the upcoming movie (Peter Cullen) was the narrator in Voltron, KARR in Knight Rider, and Venger in the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.  I never knew that.

Even more amusing is that Frank Welker played Megatron in the series also played Nibbler in Futurama and Uni in D&D.  But Hugo Weaving beat him out for the Megatron role in the movie.
