It was 39.2 here today... so far the coldest day of the year...
Isn't that 102.5° F? Sorry I converted 4*C here to Farenheit.... Hell I'd love it if it was 102*F I'd love it if it was 4*C! The grass is always greener... |

wherebouts are you? 93F here in southern california (30mi from the beach  ) I'm in Pleasanton (East Bay Area). supposed to be nicer climate up there isn't it? Only near the water. It's 61° F in San Francisco right now. LOL I was almost gonna go to Cal cuz i like the weather up there. well plus it's a very good school  The weather in the East Bay along the water is usually very mild. Berkeley is 75° F right now. Go out to the Pacific side of the peninsula, and you'll have to wear a light jacket even in the summer. Go inland about 15 miles and it's hot as hell. The Bay Area microclimates are crazy. I remember one day one summer, it was 60° F in Pacifica and over 100° F in Pleasanton. The two cities are less than 40 miles apart as the crow flies. Oof, today's worse than the other day. Berkeley is 89° right now.  |

The outside temperature reading in my car: 104° F.
According to weather.com, it's supposed to be ONLY 100° F in Pleasanton. Over across the bay in SF: 68° F.

To me this thread is funny. Down here when the temps get to over 100 everyone is OK but when temps get to <50 everyone is complaining about the cold. Up north it's the opposite. Bay area is weird with the weather, among other things.

And I thought you were a Minnesnowta girl. Oh, I am!  I love the change of seasons that Minnesnowta has. Winter blasts us with snow and cold temps. Spring is refreshing as the grass turns green and the temps warm a bit. Summer we get some nice "hot" temps and storms. Fall tends to be a nice, slightly cooler extension of summer that gradually (and sometimes not so gradually) fades into winter. Absolutely love it. Summer is *probably* my favorite season. I do so enjoy the storms that we have in the mid-west, the wind, the rain, the lightning are all so beautiful, even tornadoes simply fascinate me. I'd do well in the south for as much as I enjoy the warmer temps, but I like each season for its own uniqueness. And for that reason I'd miss having winters without snow, etc., so I really am a Minnesnowta girl. |
