Can I go home yet??....
« on: June 26, 2007, 09:40:56 PM »

Damn it... mid Wednesday afternoon... it's raining cats and dogs, I'm at work with no work to do and 2 1/2 days left before my redundancy is effective...

There's only so much interwebbing one can handle during an 8 hour work day.

Have you been looking for new employment, or are you just going to go on the dole, mate?

(Does that sound 'stralian enough? I've been working on it. I just learned how to pronounce "Cairns" today.)  Grin

I'm impressed..... Grin

I've been looking for new employment since the end of April... currently I'm sitting on three offers and waiting for a few more.... the end of the Financial Year tends to slow things down some.

I'd go on the dole but then I'd have to move to Cairns and become a pot smoking hippie and work for John Howards' surf patrol... Wink

Ultimatley I'll take the best job offer after taking some time off to teach young Jensen the finer points of the short game... he's only 5 weeks old but he already has a great vardon grip in the making Grin

My cousin had all his underwear stolen from the laundry line at a hostel in Cairns.  Had to wash the pair he was wearing every day for two months.  Somehow going to the stores for more didn't resonate with him.  I blame the pot.  You know how Irish hippies are.   Roll Eyes

Any appropriations for new underwear can not come from the general fund.  They must be levied against the beer fund, which never passes.  Simple economics really.

Irishman + economics = fumbled punt

(alright, a bit of a stretch and fairly deep but I couldn't resist)

There's only one solution to such a conundrum.
