Glory story a.k.a. Proud father
« on: June 29, 2007, 07:16:38 AM »

I took off work yesterday afternoon and hit the links with Zoe (my 10 year old daughter). I have promised her that this summer I would take her to "real" golf courses and not just a par 3 or executive course so we hit the Chaska Town Course.

It was just the two of us and we had a great day. She would tee it up at the 150 yard marker except on a couple of holes that required a carry of that distance to get to the green and a couple of the par 3's that played less than 150 from the forward tees.

Well, the glory story part came on the par 3 #14. She played from the forward tees which were at 110 yards. Knocked it on the green but 3 putted for a bogey. It was the first time I have looked at her and thought, wow, she appears to be a "golfer". She was hitting it o.k. all day and really needs to concentrate on her putting but I may have a new golfing partner! Cool

That's good to hear. I need to take my son out this year. I look forward to the day that all 3 of my boys are playing. Then we have a foursome.

Golfing with your children rocks.  Unfortunately, much of my golf is played at 6:30 AM.  Tough to get my 'tweener out of bed at that time.   Sad

Props to Zoe.  I think I doubled that hole last time.  Wink

I showed her the videos.

Her response: "Why's he pointing his finger. That's gay."

Just kidding stroh.  Cool
