I don't remember so many places being open around PGH this time of last year.  Maybe the 'yinzer' culture is adapting a bit to the 21st century.  Even the local monopoly grocery chain is open today. (they're routinely Nazi-esque about adhering to holidays off)

Walking around,

saw open:
pizza place
panera bread
subway
giant eagle (grocery)
hair salon
laundromat

closed:
asian restaurant
2nd hand clothing store
kenpo karate studio

I'm surprised here too. Went to the groc store, which i expected to be open, but the garbage p ickup was normal today.

I don't know what's open, except the "Mow the *fudge*in' Lawn, I don't care how much you've had to drink, store." Needless to say, the lawn is mowed.
