Birthday Traditions

A friend of mine had a birthday not too long ago. Every year he bikes at least as many miles as he is old. So I was wondering if any of you have some such tradition for your birthday?

That's a cool idea. I need to start doing something like that. My last few birthdays have just flown by and it would be cool to have a tradition like that where I could reflect on each passing year. |

Hmm, the age thing doesn't translate to golf holes very well. It would be tough to walk off a course and skip the last hole on my 35th birthday (next year). Eating 35 oysters sounds good, though. Or maybe buy a $35 bottle of wine, cook up a nice steak to accompany it, and write a letter to my son for him to open on his 35th birthday (to be followed by one each year). (no kids for me yet, but an amusing, sappy idea that came to mind ) |
