I'm going to be gone for awhile

Yesterday I got a dose of parent reality and it made me sad. I felt bad the whole day. This morning was not much better. I am afraid I may be going into depression and if I don't do something it could get worse.
I will be spending more time with my family and to force me to do that I am giving up some things. This site will be one of those things for now. I may check in at times at work but I doubt it, I need to concentrate on my family and myself.
I know you are all faceless acquaintances on the other side of a computer screen but I needed to say something to someone and hopefully fix what I can, and if I need help to get it. This is a start. I will not get into what the problem is and I hope you all understand but it is not life threatening or major life changing. It's funny how the view of a child can open your eyes to what you can't see even though it is right in front of you.
I have felt to be a part of this family and enjoy everyone here, but I must do what I need to do.

Depression is an evil entity Spanky, it sneaks up on you like a thief in the night, and it robs things from you which you love dearly. And the most important of those things is family. Some men feel too macho to admit even the little bit of what you have offered, some men also feel too macho to seek help, medicine is available if necessary, just don't wait too long to talk to your family doctor, I almost did.
This golfhos reality is just a time and a place brother, and as with most times and places they change with the wind. Taking care of you is number one, reconnect with your family, find the time to breathe, check in once in a blue moon, we're here in this cyber world kind of way that we can be.
And if we're not here when you get back...Que sera sera, whatever will be...stop by in time let us know you're ok and that you're alive, even if it's just a lonely Dystopia manning a once proud chat room, say hiya to him, he'll say hiya back.

I wanted to give you all a quick thanks. The family had a long talk yesterday and I think we are moving in the right direction. We have a planned 2 week vacation that starts in two weeks and that should really help.
